Sew Mama Sew! Giveaway Day!

THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED AND WINNERS HAVE BEEN ANNOUNCED!

Giveaway Day is here!  What's giveaway day I hear you say?  Well - Sew Mama Sew is hosting this whole week of giveaways, so I'm joining in!

Haven't been here before?  Well, my name is Melissa - aka Midge.  I'm an Australian lady chick who just happens to love sewing amongst a million other things I can jam in to life.  You can read a little more about me HERE, or scroll through the hundreds of posts on the blog!  I discovered last year that I LOVE quilting almost more than life itself.  And most of my finished quilty projects can be found HERE.  I love finding new blogs to read, and would love it if you choose to stick around!

Anyway - on to the fun stuff!  Everyone loves "scraps" yes?  Would you believe I used to give away scraps before I quilted?  And I even threw away scraps.  Blasphomy.  Well, now I collect them!  To a point of cra-cra-crazy!  So here are just a few of the bags I have!

Everyone loves "scraps" yes? Ps. Giveaway coming up!
My giveaway is a mixed bag of good sized scraps from all of these bags!  There are TWO scrap bags up for grabs!  All you need to do is tell me how you like to use scraps?  I will choose the two winners from your comments!

Please make sure to pop in to Sew Mama Sew! from 6am PST (USA TIME!) to see all the wonderful giveaways from around the world!  Some of my favourite quilty girls are holding their own, which you can find here:
Finding Fifth, Quiet Play, Pretty Bobbins, Blossom Heart Quilts, Party of Eight

***  This giveaway is open through to midnight, Friday the 10th of May.  Winners will be chosen over the weekend and notified via email (PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARE NOT A NO-REPLY BLOGGER, OR LEAVE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS IN YOUR COMMENT).  And winners will be posted here on the blog!  Giveaway is open Internationally!

GOOD LUCK!

  1. Oh I am double D down for scraps! Like you, at the beginning I was like, what? Why do I need that little piece of fabric, and now I completely understand! So one of my quilt bucket list goals is to make a postage stamp quit with a full rainbow spectrum using little 1.5" squares. What better way than to collect scraps!

  176. SCraps, scraps, I love scraps!!!! I used to ask my Mother-in-law for her scraps. (She would shake her head and comment that I am a strange girl! LOL She would give them to me though!) This was before I really started quilting-I just thought they were pretty. Now, with so many scrappy patterns out there- I can't wait to start some scrappy quilts.

  178. I can always use scraps. I will make scrappy quilts for me or I was thinking about making mug rugs for presents with scraps. Nothing wrong with scraps. They will find a new warm place here with me in Sonora, Ca. Lots of love I will give them. Thank you for being a part of this giveaway and your generous gift bag of scraps.

  192. I LOVE SCRAPS - I have never made anything other than scrap quilts. I have a scrap quilt on my bed at all times and at the weekend I sit and look at all the different bits of fabric.. and I made it 5 years ago.. and still love to look at them. I also just finished two string quilt tops at the weekend, one brights and one in autumnal colours.... scraptastic!!!

  193. I love making entire quilts out of scraps--all one color, a combination, or everything. Sometimes they turn out better than quilts you've planned out!
